Sony Music's $4 million deal

Sony Music has recently acquired the 146 existing catalogues of leading Tamil music label Think Music, which belongs to Sathyam Cinemas. They have also made a digital distribution deal with AnK, Ayngaran International and Geethanjali Audio (for non film music). With this, Sony is all set to invest $4 million in the Tamil music industry. According to the new deal, Think Music will give Sony a 50% share in the Tamil music industry. In addition, Sony Music has acquired the music of super star Vijay’s Velayudham and A.R. Murgadoss' 7aam Arivu.
