The season of sequel seems to have caught the attention of Simbu. After the likes Nan Avan Illai, Billa and Muni among others, STR is planning to do a sequel for his yesteryear blockbuster hit Manmadhan. 'Manmadhan' was one of Simbu’s biggest box office hits and the star is keen on cashing in on the film’s success once again.
Simbhu himself is going to write the script and direct also apart from playing the lead role. Sources close to the actor says that Simbhu has already completed basic script for the film and a team has been formed to develop the story to a full-length script.
Directed by AJ Murugan "Manmadhan" was a Tamil romantic thriller with STR in double role. "Manmadhan is a milestone in Silambarasan's career. The film established him as a screenwriter too. The film had Jyothika, Sindhu Tolani, Goundamani and Atul Kulkarni. Santhanam made his debut in this film in a supporting role.
Rajiv Menon will be the cinematographer for this project. Work will commence once STR finishes work on pending projects like Poda Podi, Vaalu and Vettai Mannan. Vetrimaaran’s film ‘Vada Chennai’ is also in the offing for Simbhu. More details on this project are expected to be out soon.
